Why should I trust The Wagging Tail?
The Wagging Tail is fully insured and bonded, and owned by Trevor Denis, a devoted dog lover. He understands that your dog is like your child, and deserves the best care. The Wagging Tail has been in business since 2004. Over that time Trevor has had the pleasure of meeting many, many dogs, and has learned much about dog behaviour. Dogs are pre-screened to make sure that they will fit into the group, are not aggressive and will not pose a danger to the existing dogs in the group, or to anyone else. |
Will my dog enjoy The Wagging Tail experience?
Most dogs will enjoy the walks offered by The Wagging Tail. Who wouldn't love to be able to romp through woods and fields with their friends? However, some dogs may not enjoy it for various reasons. To help ensure that the experience is a good one for your dog, there is a "meet and greet" session prior to a dog becoming a new client. There is also a "trial period" for all new dogs, to make sure they fit in with the group. |
What is the cost to have my dog walked?
Current prices can be found here: Prices Our prices are reasonable, and easy to understand. You only pay for the walks your dog goes on. |
Where do you walk the dogs?
Group walks take place at a privately owned dog park, on a 100 acre parcel of land north of Kanata. The property has a mix of fields and forest, with a beautiful stream running through it. The only people that use the park are other professional dog walkers, so risks associated with unknown people or dogs are minimized. |
How long will my dog be out of the house during a walk day?
Depending on where you live, and which other dogs are being picked up that day, your dog will be out of the house for a minimum of 2 hours. Some of the dogs that are picked up first, and dropped off last will sometimes be out of the house for as long as 4 or 5 hours on some days. |
What is the Pooch Mobile?
The Pooch Mobile is a well maintained 2010 Toyota Sienna. The rear seats have been removed, and a padded, dirt resistant layer has been placed on the floor. The van is equipped with air conditioning front and rear, and heat in the front and rear for those cold winter days. As well, a barrier is installed to keep the furry passengers out of the front area to prevent distractions to the driver. The van often smells like dog, but the occupants don't seem to mind. |
